چکیده
Epidermal bioelectronics, consisting of thin, soft electronic systems that are interfaced with the human body, has started to transform traditional healthcare. Hundreds early versions sensors, actuators and transmitters integrated into patches or bandages deployed in various medical conditions, their number is ever-growing. Among many devices, epidermal biosensors at center this effort offer a huge potential revolutionize conventional healthcare involves physical examination biochemical analysis assess overall health detect abnormalities. In our lab, we develop translational approaches eliminate biological mechanical mismatch between conventional, rigid, static diagnostic technologies skin by integrating soft, complex multifunctional electronics microfluidic for diagnostics therapy. Here, brief, albeit comprehensive I would like describe key ideas presents some most recent device examples developed including wireless, battery-free ‘patches’ applications continuous monitoring vital signs through dermatological, neurological applications; microfluidic/electronic platforms can capture biomarkers hormones, neurotransmitters, cytokines metabolites microorganisms skin.

Epidermal electronics for electromyography: An application to swallowing therapy.
Head and neck cancer treatment alters the anatomy and physiology of patients. Resulting swallowing difficulties can lead to serious health concerns. Surface electromyography (sEMG) is used as an adjuvant to swallowing therapy exercises. sEMG signal collected from the area under the chin provides visual biofeedback from muscle contractions and is used to help patients perform exercises correctly...
متن کاملEpidermal mechano-acoustic sensing electronics for cardiovascular diagnostics and human-machine interfaces
Physiological mechano-acoustic signals, often with frequencies and intensities that are beyond those associated with the audible range, provide information of great clinical utility. Stethoscopes and digital accelerometers in conventional packages can capture some relevant data, but neither is suitable for use in a continuous, wearable mode, and both have shortcomings associated with mechanical...
متن کاملEpidermal electronics.
We report classes of electronic systems that achieve thicknesses, effective elastic moduli, bending stiffnesses, and areal mass densities matched to the epidermis. Unlike traditional wafer-based technologies, laminating such devices onto the skin leads to conformal contact and adequate adhesion based on van der Waals interactions alone, in a manner that is mechanically invisible to the user. We...
متن کاملMechanics of Epidermal Electronics
Epidermal electronic system (EES) is a class of integrated electronic systems that are ultrathin, soft, and lightweight, such that it could be mounted to the epidermis based on van der Waals interactions alone, yet provides robust, intimate contact to the skin. Recent advances on this technology will enable many medical applications such as to monitor brain or heart activities, to monitor prema...
متن کاملpassivity in waiting for godot and endgame: a psychoanalytic reading
this study intends to investigate samuel beckett’s waiting for godot and endgame under the lacanian psychoanalysis. it begins by explaining the most important concepts of lacanian psychoanalysis. the beckettian characters are studied regarding their state of unconscious, and not the state of consciousness as is common in most beckett studies. according to lacan, language plays the sole role in ...
